An established food wholesaler serving the hospitality industry is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Officer to join their team. Responsibilities
- Process payments for stock and non-stock suppliers accurately and on time.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with invoices, credits, and statements.
- Reconcile credit card transactions and set up new supplier accounts.
- Manage communications with suppliers, resolving payment issues and maintaining relationships.
- Provide backup support to accounts receivable during high-volume periods.
- Handle general accounts administration and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of proven experience in accounts payable, preferably handling high transaction volumes.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with excellent accuracy in financial processes.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.
- A proactive mindset and openness to new ideas, processes, and challenges.
