Job brief
We are seeking two skilled and adaptable Cloud Engineers to join a high-performing team on a long-term engagement. This role involves maintaining, monitoring, and securing cloud infrastructure, designing scalable solutions, and collaborating on cloud architecture and migration strategies. Candidates must hold Australian citizenship with a minimum of Baseline Security Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
- Proactively resolve issues, perform maintenance, and enforce security compliance.
- Implement access controls, encryption, backups, and disaster recovery plans.
- Respond to incidents, perform root cause analysis, and document resolutions.
- Design scalable and secure cloud solutions tailored to business needs.
- Collaborate on cloud architecture development and strategic planning.
- Plan and execute cloud migration strategies to streamline processes.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud design, deployment, configuration, and optimization.
- Proficiency with IaaS and PaaS solutions in medium to large-scale enterprise environments.
- Expertise in infrastructure, databases, and application system design and operation.
- Proficient in IaC (Infrastructure as Code) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, AWS CDK, Azure ARM, and Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills using Perl, Python, and PowerShell.
- Experience with source code management using GIT.
- Broad IT knowledge, including backups, storage, system administration, data protection, information security, and CI/CD tools.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to mentor and share knowledge with teammates.
